Regularity of Solutions for Some Nonlinear Degenerate PDEs

Abstract:
In this talk, I shall report on some joint results with Chaojiang Xu and Weixi Li in Wuhan University on the optimal (i.e. in Gevrey or analytic classes) regularities of solutions for some degenerate partial differential equations, which include (1) generalized Kolmogorov equations (which are related to the Boltzmann equations), (2) Fokker-Planck equations (which are related to the Landau equations), (3) sub-elliptic Monge-Ampere equations. On the other hand, the smoothness effects of solutions for the Cauchy problem of the spatially homogeneous Landau equations will be also given.
