The CAMMP week Pro is an excursion week in Computational and Mathematical Modelling. It is organized by the Teaching and Research Group on Combinatorial Optimisation (combi) together with the Research Lab for Applied and Computational Mathematics (ACoM), the graduate school AICES, the secondary education lab CAMMP in cooperation with the Forschungszentrum Jülich. Students of the following fields of study can participate:

  • Mathematics (B.Sc. und M.Sc.)
  • Computational Engineering Science (B.Sc. und M.Sc.)
  • Simulation Science (M.Sc.)

Supported by professors and PhD students, the students work in small teams on current research topics of the Forschungszentrum Jülich. A variety of problems, ranging from electrostatics and molecular dynamics to image processing and visualisation of protein chains, assures that all areas of interest are covered. The CAMMP week Pro grants an insight into the application of mathematical modelling to highly relevant research topics. Moreover,

it provides the opportunity to arrange student jobs or to find an interesting topic for a thesis. Depending on the field of study, the accreditation of 3 or 5 Credit Points is possible.
