Didactics Presentation Series "Grüne Reihe"
Brief Description
The "Grüne Reihe" was initiated (at the suggestion of Walter Oberschelp among others) by Heinrich Winter in the 1980s. He continued to organize it into the 21st. After a collective transition period, the series was carried out, and still is, by lecturers in the RWTH Aachen Department of Mathematics.
The series is intended for all types of math teachers and students and focuses on the principles of teaching in mathematics. For 25 years, two to three presentations have been offered each semester as part of the series.
The presenters are mathematics pedagogues and mathematicians with a special interest in didactics. Topics range from fundamental questions in the didactics of mathematics to particularly valuable topics for teaching to concrete lesson recommendations. We will also gladly take parts of the history of mathematics, material expansion and immersion, and current unexplored topics into consideration.
Grüne Reihe presentations take place within the framework of the Mathematic Colloquium on Tuesdays at 6pm in Hörsaal III in the main building and last about an hour.
